Sunday 13th March

Neptune

We have had 2 cold days in a row. Yesterday there were 25mph + winds so we decided against golf.  Ben set off to go fishing but found it far too windy. I walked to the beach and the sand was blowing along the shore, so it was very unpleasant. We visited Shelter Cove Marina, but the cold wind got the better of us.   Liz decided on a bit of retail therapy which took over an hour in a lady's clothes shop - but no purchase. Ben sat in the car and listened to the radio!  We migrated to Coligny which is near the beach for a cup of coffee with a large cranberry muffin!

Wall to wall sunshine - but cold

Today, temperature wise it was much colder but there were clear blue skies. Last night the temperature was around freezing, and it only rose a few degrees during the day. We had booked to play golf which was reasonably pleasant in the sunshine but out of the sun and in the wind, it was bitterly cold. The golf was reasonable, it was slow to start with, but we paired up with the Canadian couple who were behind us. This to me was off putting because they were randomly hitting the ball whether it was their turn or not. However, they were pleasant people, but my golf definitely deteriorated after we joined up with them. It was nice to get back to the condo and a bit of warmth. Tomorrow promises higher temperatures!
